June 28 - Summer is here and so are some berries. June 14 - Abundant Wildflowers The wildflowers are abundant in the woods right now. There are numerous Mocassin flowers blooming along the lake path in front of our cabins as well as on the lake path to the Flour Lake Campground. We even saw one on the side of our road yesterday. Bunchberries and Linnaea borealis or Twinflower are also very plentiful. Blueberries and raspberries are almost done blooming. We have finally seen some moisture here in June with a little over 3 inches of rain so far this month. Everything is so green and lush. Many of the area lakes are low but the recent rains should help a little. The fishing has been up and down so far this spring. There have been a lot of mayflies the last week or so and there are reports of many dead ones lying in the water. There was a 5 pound walleye caught last evening off cabin #4's dock. A very proud 13 year old girl got to show her brothers how to catch a fish. Close Wireless Internet Service Available

CABIN PET POLICY
Well behaved pets are accepted at Golden Eagle Lodge only with permission from late April thru October. There is a daily charge per pet. Pets must be in a kennel while in the cabin alone at any time and on a leash when in the Resort area. Please note that Cabins 3, 5, 6, 7, and 10 are Pet Free all year. Please call or E-mail:pets@golden-eagle.com for more details.

CABIN RESERVATION POLICY
A $300.00 deposit per unit is required when making a resevation with the balance due upon arrival. Holiday Seasons are prepaid 30 days in advance. If cancellation is received 60 days prior to arrival date, or if another reservation is taken to replace your entire cancellation, a full refund minus a $30.00 service charge will be given. To avoid any misunderstanding, you will be charged for the number of nights reserved. Personal checks welcome, Discover, Visa and MasterCard accepted.
