The Best of Summer

BIRDWATCHING – Don’t forget this wonderful past time available any time of the year. You’ll find a bird feeder at each cabin and a jar of sunflower seeds to entice our flying friends.

BOATING - Flour is a quiet lake surrounded by the Superior National Forest. We rent boats, motors and canoes as well as a pontoon boat. There are no motor restrictions but we run 9.9 hp motors.

CANOEING – We’re on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. There are five portages from Flour Lake with two of them directly into the BWCA. Enjoy some wonderful day trips into the quiet country while enjoying the comfort of a cozy cabin at night. Canoe rental is available.

FISHING – Flour Lake has Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Lake Trout and Northern. We carry a full line of tackle as well as leeches and crawlers. Each guest is provided with a lake map marked with our special fishing spots. Be sure to catch our Fishing Seminar on Monday mornings in July and August.

HIKING - Many trails begin right from your cabin door, but don’t forget about the Border Route Trail, The Kekakabic, Magnetic Rock, Caribou Rock and of course Honeymoon Bluff just one mile away.

NATURE CENTER – Our nature center provides many hours of educational fun for the entire family. Enjoy Weekly Campfires in our Tipi, a Fishing Contest for Kids, Hikes and many other fun activities.
